I’ve been there a few times over the years and I always walk away with a satisfied smile, warm heart and a full belly. The food is always good, service is top notch (Italians are certainly known for their hospitality) and the knowledge of the sommelier - always spot on :) A wonderful place tucked away in suburbia..definable come here to have your heart and belly full :)
Galileo has remained one of my favourite restaurants in Perth for several years now. Food and service have always been impeccable. A post ‘virus-shut-down’ visit for dinner found a once extensive menu sadly (but understandably) reduced down to a single page of entrees, mains and desserts. The option was to choose either 2 or 3 courses and we opted for the 3. Entrees we ordered included conchiglioni pasta shells (good), funghi trifolati (ok) and pansotti pasta with walnut sauce (a touch bland, perhaps just lacking salt). For main course we moved onto the slow baked lamb (the main reason I would love to dine here as it has always been sensational, this time round it was still good but not the same level it has been in the past), and the beef cheeks (good). Mains were served with a small side salad and roasted potatoes. Finished with the profiteroles (nice) and the semifreddo (very nice). Service was polite but a bit distracted on this particular night - in the past it has been nothing short of excellent. When I dine out I'm paying for the experience, not just the food and Galileo's has consistently given me an excellent one each time I have been here. Given time I’m sure things will get back to normal with this great restaurant.
Delicious food and quality service, doesn't really cater for young kids but a first rate dining experience
